The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people. It was founded in England in 1929 to provide children and young people with the opportunity to gain experience with horses and create new friendships.
It was granted independent charitable status on 1/2/97 and there are now about 330 branches and 300 linked riding centres in just the UK. The Pony Club is represented in over 27 countries with a worldwide membership of over 110,00, making it the largest association of young riders in the world.
Who can join The Pony Club?
Anyone under the age of 25 can join. You don’t even need to own your pony, but you do need to have a real passion for everything and anything to do with horses and ponies. The Pony Club encourages togetherness including friendship, teamwork and volunteering. Also, empathy, they support every individual to reach their goals. They celebrate success and more importantly, teach how to lose with grace which is important.

Membership options at The Pony Club
Branch Riding
You will need access to a horse/pony and be able to transport them to local rallies or events.
Branch non-riding
For anyone who only wants to take part in non-ridden activities. This includes taking part in competitions such as The Pony Club Quiz, Winter Triathlon and Blue Cross Care.
Centre
For anyone who doesn’t have access to a horse/pony. You can go to a local Pony Club linked Riding Centre to take part in Pony Club activities.
Centre Plus
For members who attend a Pony Club Centre but also have regular access to a pony outside of the Centre. This includes someone who owns, leases or borrows a horse/pony.
The Pony Club has a fantastic selection of activities including Dressage, Eventing, Horse & Pony Care, Musical Ride, Mounted Games, Polo, Centre Equitation.

Simply visit their website pcuk.org and just enter your postcode or the Branch or Centre name and click search.
